Datasets usually provide raw data for analysis. This raw data often comes in spreadsheet form, but can be any collection of data, on which analysis can be performed.
This data set describes the frequencies of mutant alleles relative to the ancestral genome in Sindbis virus populations over the course of an evolution experiment. Virus populations were sampled at 8 time points, labeled in the table by experimental passage number. All virus samples were prepared and sequenced in duplicate. The table reports frequencies for mutant alleles that were detected in both technical replicates at a frequency >0.01. For these frequencies, the mean of the two technical replicates is reported. Alleles are named by the position of the nucleotide in the genome and the base detected. Raw sequencing data used to generate this table is in the process of being deposited in SRA.
